General Information

Last few days left.... Just a bit of general information we thought would be useful for you to know...

If you are coming from India, please be aware that 500 and 1000 Rupee notes are not accepted in most places. The airport, most shops and even many money exchange places will refuse the note and tell that it is illegal tender in Nepal.
However, 100 Rupee notes are accepted almost everywhere... You can spend them here like local currency, so your 100 Indian Rupees will be 160 Nepalese...

You will be able to use these notes at DarkSun. Euros, Indian Rupees and Nepalese Rupees will all be accepted.

For those of you who do not have camping tents, there will be a limited supply for you to rent at the Festival, so be fast if you need one, it is a strictly "first come first served" policy. You will be provided with a two man tent, sleeping bag and ground mat. These will be rented out by Avia Tours and Travels.

3 day chillout and art fair

From 11th to 13th gates will be open for what we hope to be international art fair. Artist and traders from all over the world are welcome to come along and trade, Showcase their art and get involved with other like minded people.

This will also be a chance for you to buy local Nepalese handicrafts as this art fair is as much about the local talent as it is anything else. All creative outlets welcome.

Gates for the art fair ground will be open to those wishing to trade and set up stalls on the evening of the 10th.

Separate tickets for traders are compulsory, make sure you obtain the correct wrist band and have it visible at all times.
